On 19 November 2018 we made a trip to Moree and Collarenabri to hand over food and farm produce to those less fortunate than ourselves during this drought our state is experiencing.
The Club has donated $7,500 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service for their services to the rural community at the most urgent times of need. Another $1450 will be donated to N.E.T.S (Natal Emergency Transport Service) for infant emergency treatment saving young lives, thanks to Neil Pullbrook, Nurse with N.E.T.S.
Upon our arrival into Moree airport we were met by Bessie and Bill Lambert, local farmers of Moree shire.
Bessie had prepared us a list of worthy recipients in detail with exactly what we were to buy for them and where we would meet to hand them over these goods and produce.
These goods were home consumables like half hams from the local Moree butcher, soft drinks, jellies, custard, Christmas puddings and cakes, tins of pineapple, bags of lollies, toilet paper.
Farm Produce was in 25 kg bags for their cattle dogs, lucerne for their horses, 30 kg bags of mixed grain for their cattle and sheep feeds all purchased from the local Moree and Collarenabri stores.
We kept the money in the local towns to help those small businesses stockholding for the farmers who are not buying anywhere near the amounts they were in the past.
Many local farmers would not respond to our searches throughout NSW, their pride was damaged as it was with the lack of rainfall, putting their hands out is their last resort.
Those we met were: Bessie and Bill Lambert, Steve Corey, George Leighton, Nicki Rapperly, David and Carol Humphreys, Kate Willis, Gaye Coleman, Buck Timmins, Rex and Dixie Stuthorpe.
Another 6 families were being met by Bessie and Bill, they live 2 hours away from Moree. Those we met came from 45 mins up to 1.5 hours from Moree and Collarenabri to receive the goods purchased for them.

The Pinnacle, Hurstville is undergoing a massive transformation to turn it into a stunning new recreational hub for members right in the heart of Hurstville.
Every member should be excited about the great new changes that will make our club the premier entertainment place in Hurstville. Bright, light, open spaces, a street level café and more places for people to meet friends and family will create the perfect place for all members.
All this state of the art design doesn’t mean everything is new. Our wonderful Chinese restaurant remains with even better facilities for great dining. Gaming facilities will be bigger and better employing the latest in new technology. A new outdoor gaming area with terrace will be established on the first floor along with a brand new contemporary TAB and sports bar.
This bold multi-million dollar next step in the revitalisation of the Pinnacle would not have been possible without your great support. The Board believes that the loyal members deserve a special Club that meets everyone’s recreational needs.
The Board expects that work on this exciting renovation will start towards the end of 2018 with a completion date scheduled for late-2019. PLEASE NOTE DURING THE RENOVATION PERIOD PROMOTIONS WILL BE SUSPENDED.

ClubGRANTS (formally CDSE) is a state wide initiative that recognises the significant financial support for projects and services that local clubs make in contributing to the wellbeing of their communities. ClubGRANTS is designed to ensure that larger clubs in NSW contribute to the provision of front line services to their local communities, and to ensure that the disadvantaged in the community are better positioned to benefit from the substantial contribution made by those clubs. ClubGRANTS also facilitates contributions by larger clubs towards infrastructure to support sporting, health and community activites.

The Pinnacle has 5 intra clubs:-
Golf is played at Hurstville golf course on the 1st and 3rd sundays of each month (the 5th sunday as well when applicable) Tee times vary but are normally between 6 & 7am There is one day trip during the year and also a weekend away each September to Nelson Bay.
Cricket (seniors) is played on Saturday afternoons within the St George district 1.30 - 6pm times vary a little pre daylight saving Season commences first weekend in September and concludes at the end of March.
Cricket Juniors (under 8's to under 16) are played on Sat mornings from 8am -12 (earlier finish for the younger boys)
Darts play a home and away format with South Hurstville RSL being the home base. Two competitions each year approx 3 months each. Games are played on a Wednesday night.

To enjoy the high standard maintained in our clubs, we require patrons abide by the dress rules.
Appearance must be clean, neat and tidy at all times.
The following are not permitted
1. Hoodies 2. Hats or caps 3. Bare feet 4. Men’s singlets or sleeveless shirts 5. Offensively worded clothing 6. Dirty, soiled or torn clothing 7. Thongs (after 7pm)
Ladies dress hat, religious or medical headwear permitted
Management’s decision shall be final in all matters relating to dress regulations

Functions: The courtesy bus is available for function guests free of charge for areas within our pickup and drop off zones
Booking: To book the courtesy bus please phone 0403 960 866, Hurstville RSL Club on 9570 3733 or South Hurstville RSL Club on 9546 3436. Please phone early to ensure pick up at desired time. Cost is $2.00 for non members and free for members
The bus route will consist of the areas within the 5km range. These include Allawah, Blakehurst, Carlton, Carss Park, Connells Point, Hurstville, Hurstville Grove, Kyle Bay, Mortdale, Oatley, Penshurst and South Hurstville.
CONDITIONS OF TRAVELLING ON THE COURTESY BUS
The Courtesy bus is for South Hurstville RSL and Hurstville RSL members and their associated guests only.
Pick up and drop off points are at a place of residence only
Every attempt will be made to adhere to schedules, but times may vary without notice.
Routes may be altered without notice at the discretion of the driver or club management
Rules and regulation which apply within the facilities of the "Pinnacle Group" extend to the confines of the courtesy bus. The driver is authorised to eject from the bus any person in breach of the Clubs rules and regulations. Smoking or the consumption of food and beverages is not permitted on the courtesy bus.
RSL SERVICE MEMBERS AND CURRENT SERVING ADF PERSONNEL
May enter the club as an honorary member for the day of attendance. Patrons must either show their Defence Force ID or RSL Card. RSL Service Members must also produce evidence of membership of an RSL or Services Club.
Members and visitors may use the car park located next to South Hurstville RSL and Hurstville RSL Club. Please note this is only while utilising the clubs facilities and car park will be locked after close each night.
Patrons visiting Hurstville RSL will require a token to exit the car park which is available from a staff member. Additional parking is also located on Tracey Street and the roof top at “Hurstville Central” shopping Centre.
SIGNING IN TO THE CLUB
Only members of South Hurstville RSL and Hurstville RSL are permitted to sign guests in. Members of other RSL or Services Clubs in NSW are also permitted to enter the Club but not the ability to sign guests in.
LIVING INSIDE THE 5KM RADIUS - Peope over 18 living inside the 5km radius will need to become a member of the Club. There are however exceptions as follows.
1. You are a full member of another RSL/Service Club in NSW. 2. You are a guest of a member and have been signed in by that member. 3. Attending a function at the Club and will not be using other club facilities.
Bonus points will expire on 1 January of each year for Bronze and Silver members. Gold and Platinum members points never expire.
Membership renewals can be made by visiting the Club or by renewing online. Your expiry date is listed on your card and please note renewal reminders are NOT sent to each member. Your card will remain active one month after the expiry date.
HOW DO I JOIN THE CLUB?
To become a member you need to fill out an application form available from reception.
Once you have completed all the information on the application form, a staff member will take a photo of you and process the form. You will be issued a card straight away and then can start using it immediately. Note that on the day of issue only, you will not have access to the Clubs members cash draw, major promotions or members ham night.
